The whole degree, as it is actually written.
Mappy reads a program straight from the university's curriculum record and shows how its courses, learning outcomes, assessments and prerequisites connect. Every view is tied to a dated snapshot, so you always know which version you are looking at.

Start from the rules, not a spreadsheet.
Programs, specialisations, course lists and UoC requirements come in exactly as they are recorded. Nobody re-keys the handbook. When the record changes, you load the new snapshot.
From there the same structure can be read as a treemap, a Sankey or a network, or laid out term by term in the progression planner. Programs outside CourseLoop can come in from Excel or CSV.
Read off the tableLevel 4 carries 30 UoC across six courses, three of them the parts of the research thesis. Level 1 lists 14 courses because students choose between alternatives such as Mathematics and Higher Mathematics.
See where each outcome is taught.
Course learning outcomes link to specialisation and program outcomes. Mappy counts those links course by course, so thin spots show up before an accreditation visit does. Links are edited in place in the Mapper, and an AI-assisted first pass is offered as a draft to review.
SLO3, apply current research, is linked from 5 of 13 core courses, and from none in Year 2.
It is a prompt for the program team to check. A course can teach an outcome its CLOs don't name.
Same data also shows as a radar, a cumulative heatmap by year, a Bloom's matrix or a Miller's pyramid.
Know what is assessed, and how securely.
Every assessment comes with its type, weighting, timing and AI-use level. Mappy shows marks by week and year. In the app it also checks each course's secured assessment against the assurance floor, which is not drawn here.
The same checks roll up to faculty and university level, along with assurance of learning: which program outcomes are actually assessed.
Find the courses that hold others up.
Prerequisites form a graph. Mappy scores it with the curricular analytics metrics of Heileman et al. (2018): a course's blocking factor is how many courses sit behind it, and its delay factor is the length of the longest chain it is on.
Eleven versions of 4820 are in the record. Load any two and Mappy lists what changed between them: courses, outcomes and rules. A change feed follows new versions as they land.
What Mappy infers, it labels.
Some views are inferred rather than read from the record. Those views say so on screen, along with how sure we are. The societal impact screen, for example, opens with this notice.
These classifications are inferred by Mappy, not sourced from ECLIPS, and are not signed off by anyone. They will contain errors. Confirm a course before acting on it.
Read from ECLIPS and shown as recorded. No notice.
Estimated by Mappy, including AI-assisted mapping. Carries a notice and stays a draft until a person reviews it.
A source we could not read. The screen says the gap is in our data.
Mappy is used by program directors and curriculum and quality staff. If your university uses CourseLoop, a program can usually be loaded from its export. If not, a spreadsheet works.
